PERSHING COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive ... and Dodge!

The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office team had quite a day at Lovelock Elementary School on Thursday, Jan. 29, according to an agency Facebook post.

Law enforcement traded in their badges for dodgeballs for the ultimate showdown: The Pony Pass Party!

It was cops vs. kids, and the competition was fierce.

While deputies think they’re tough, the students definitely brought the heat (and maybe a few sneak attacks!)

The highlights were:

• The Agility: Watching deputies try to dodge throws from kids (was a sight to behold).

• The Sportsmanship: High fives and laughs all around.

• The Community: Building bonds with these amazing kids is the best part of the job.

“Huge thanks to the school for hosting us and to the students for the workout,” the post said. “We might be a little sore tomorrow, but it was worth every second!”
