Statement from Pershing County School District Regarding Accidental Lockdown
Lovelock, NV – Earlier today, our schools within the Pershing County School District experienced an accidental lockdown activation. We want to assure our community that there was no threat to students, staff, or the public at any time during this event.
The lockdown protocol was unintentionally triggered and was promptly investigated and addressed by school administration. The safety systems functioned as designed, and all students and staff remained safe throughout the brief incident.
Superintendent Holmes stated:
"While today’s event was a false alarm, it demonstrates that our emergency procedures are active and that our staff and students respond appropriately and calmly in these situations. We are committed to maintaining a secure and prepared learning environment."
We understand that any incident involving school safety can be concerning. Please know that the District takes these matters very seriously. We are reviewing the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future and will continue to keep safety and communication at the forefront of our operations.
We thank our staff, students, families, and first responders for their quick cooperation and support.

PreK-4th Grade is tomorrow, Friday 8/16 from 9am-Noon
5th-8th Grade is Saturday 8/17 from 9am-Noon
$15 for 1 child and $10 for each additional child!
