Dear PCHS Families, Alumni, and Community Members,

Homecoming Week is almost here, and we are excited to invite our entire community to join us as we celebrate PCHS Homecoming 2026, September 28 through October 3! Our theme this year is Heroes Aren't Born ... They're Built! This reminds us that becoming a hero is about the choices we make, the challenges we overcome, and the way we treat others. Every day at PCHS, we are building character, leadership, resilience, and Mustang Pride through our actions. Heroes are built one choice, one challenge, and one act of kindness at a time.

Homecoming is about so much more than a football game. It is a week filled with tradition, school spirit, friendly competition, athletics, and opportunities to bring together our students, staff, families, alumni, and community. We hope you will join us throughout the week and help us fill PCHS with Mustang Pride!

Homecoming Dress-Up Days

We encourage our students, staff and community to participate in our Homecoming Spirit Days throughout the week.

Monday, September 28: Class Colors

Seniors: Black | Juniors: Red | Sophomores: Blue | Freshmen: Green

Tuesday, September 29: Staff as Students & Students as Staff

Students get to dress like their favorite PCHS staff members, while our staff turn the tables and dress like students!

Wednesday, September 30: BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms

Think aprons, grilling shirts, cargo shorts, tube socks and dad gear versus visors, athletic wear, team gear, sneakers and the classic Soccer Mom look.

Thursday, October 1: White Lies

Wear a white T-shirt with a funny, school-appropriate "white lie" written on it.

Friday, October 2: Adam Sandler Night

It's Homecoming Game Day, and we're going full Adam Sandler! Think oversized T-shirts, baggy basketball shorts, loose sweatpants, hoodies, sneakers, baseball caps, and mismatched casual clothes. The goal is comfortable, oversized, and hilariously laid-back. All outfits must remain school appropriate.

Wednesday, September 30

Wednesday is packed with Homecoming fun!

Join us in the PCHS Auditorium beginning at 12:15 p.m. for two of our favorite Homecoming activities:

Mr. Mustang & Battle of the Bands

That afternoon, our Lady Mustang Volleyball team takes on Oasis Academy at home.

JV: 4:00 p.m.

Varsity: 5:00 p.m.

Come out and cheer on our Lady Mustangs!

Thursday, October 1

Thursday is another full day of Mustang traditions!

Throughout the day, students will be building their class floats in preparation for Friday's Homecoming Parade.

At 6:00 p.m., come cheer on our Lady Mustang Soccer team as they take on Fernley. Wear your Aloha best and join us in the stands!

Then, following the soccer game, our Homecoming celebration continues with our Bonfire & Assembly beginning at approximately 8:00 p.m.

It's going to be a great night to come together and celebrate what it means to be a Mustang!

Friday, October 2: Homecoming Day!

Friday is the BIG day, and we especially invite our PCHS alumni, families, and community members to come home and celebrate with us!

Our Homecoming Parent Assembly begins at 10:00 a.m., with the Homecoming Parade immediately following.

We would also love to recognize families with a legacy at PCHS. If your family has a legacy of attending PCHS, we want you! Please contact Mrs. Murphy at 775-273-2625 so we can include your family in our Homecoming celebration.

Friday night, Mustang Football takes on Incline at Joe Yanni Field.

JV: 4:30 p.m.

Varsity: 7:00 p.m.

And don't forget, Friday is Adam Sandler Night! Students, staff, alumni, families, and Mustang fans are encouraged to join in the fun. Break out the oversized shirts, baggy shorts, hoodies, sneakers, and baseball caps and come dressed in your best Adam Sandler-inspired outfit.

Let's fill Joe Yanni Field and show everyone what Mustang Pride looks like!

Saturday, October 3: Dig Pink & Homecoming Dance

Homecoming Week isn't over yet!

Join us Saturday morning for our Dig Pink Volleyball Game. Come pack the gym, wear ALL PINK and cheer on our Lady Mustangs!

JV: 10:00 a.m.

Varsity: 11:00 a.m.

Then Saturday night, it's time for our students to celebrate an incredible Homecoming Week!

PCHS students will be dancing the night away at the Homecoming Dance from 8:00–10:00 p.m. in the PCHS Small Gym.

After a week filled with dress-up days, competitions, float building, assemblies, the bonfire, parade, athletics, and plenty of Mustang Pride, the dance is the perfect way to wrap up Homecoming 2026!

Homecoming is one of those special times when we get to celebrate not only who we are today, but everyone who has helped make PCHS what it is. Whether you graduated last year or decades ago, have a student at PCHS today, or simply call Pershing County home, you are part of our Mustang family.

We hope to see our community filling the auditorium, lining the parade route, cheering from the stands, and celebrating alongside our students throughout the week.

What a week to be a Mustang!

Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang!
